Navigating the First 90 Days

This participant-driven gathering is an opportunity to connect in-person, share practices, and explore common professional inquiries.

 

Join us for a Peer to Peer event centered on the importance of building relationships during the first 90 days of the school year. By focusing on trust and connection, we can set a strong foundation for the rest of the year and beyond.

Come along to learn from peers, exchange valuable insights, and develop strategies to enhance relationship-building skills. Our goal is to create an enriching environment where everyone leaves with practical tools and renewed inspiration.

In four break-out rooms, we will cover the following topics:

  • How can you use psychological safety to grow trust in new teams?

Emotionally Intelligent Coaching Approach

Facilitator: Supriya Kotwal 

Inquiry Question:

  • How can you integrate an emotionally intelligent coaching approach into your leadership style to craft quick wins for your team while co-creating meaning and purpose at work?

You will participate in nuanced discussions and take away valuable resources and recommendations focussed on coaching leadership and leading with compassion among others. We invite you to join this session especially if you are new to a leadership role or leading a new team.

 

Building and Sustaining Relationships

Facilitator: Kenny Hegarty

Inquiry Question:

  • How can we build and sustain strong relationships to enhance collaboration and support in our teams?

Based on elements from Andy Buck’s manual Leadership Matters, this session provides practical tools for developing strong, trust-based relationships. Engage in interactive activities to improve communication, build rapport, and foster a collaborative team culture.

 
 
 
 

 

Building impactful, sustainable change

Facilitator: Florence Wayas

Inquiry Question:

  • How do you become an effective changemaker?

This session will explore the different challenges involved with creating the changes needed to move a school forward, so that it can achieve its vision and mission, and visit solutions provided through research and case studies. The session will focus on key stakeholders that you need to engage with, how and why, and how these interactions can be managed to ensure that all stakeholders are suitably engaged in facilitating the positive changes needed.

If notice of cancellation re the registered participant is received:
  • 30+ days pre-event: 80% of fee is refundable
  • 15-29 days pre-event: 40% of fee is refundable
  • Less than 15 days pre-event: no refund

Refund due to PD Event Cancellation

In the event of cancellation of a conference, workshop or online PD program, we will fully refund the registration or sponsorship fee(s) paid. However, we will be unable to refund any travel, visa or accommodation expenses incurred or course material fees where access has been granted.
