What Does a Community Host Do?

Lead Virtual Sessions, Spark Collaboration

Plan and Facilitate
Live Sessions

Host virtual gatherings (60–90 mins each, depending on the format) across the academic year. 

Encourage Peer-to-Peer Sharing

Prepare guiding questions or activities that help educators exchange ideas, troubleshoot, and co-create solutions.

Cultivate
Engagement

Prompt members to follow up on each other’s goals via discussion boards or Buddy Groups. 

Respond to
Community Needs

Gather feedback from members to shape session agendas—no formal “curriculum” required, just responsive facilitation.

Light Asynchronous
Support

Occasionally post reflection questions or resources on the PeerSphere platform in between live sessions.

Once you apply, our team will schedule a brief chat to align on your community’s topic and goals. 

Host Training & Resources

Receive a short induction module covering best practices for virtual facilitation, plus sample agendas and icebreaker ideas.

Platform Walkthrough

Test the PeerSphere discussion board and live session setup, ensuring you’re comfortable with breakout rooms, polls, etc. 

Launch & Support

You’ll host your first live session with a dedicated PeerSphere tech assistant, plus ongoing guidance from our Host Community. 

Check-Ins & Feedback

After each session, share wins and questions in a private Hosts Community. PeerSphere’s engagement team handles recordings and follow-up so you can focus on the next session.
