Welcome to the Tech Directors & Coordinators Community! As a Tech Director, you have a significant responsibility in ensuring your school’s technology infrastructure is effective and up-to-date. You need to oversee the procurement, installation, and maintenance of hardware, software, and network systems. You also may need to support and train teachers and staff in using technology effectively in their classes and work. Join our community to learn from peers, share best practices, and explore new tools and processes related to technology infrastructure, user support, and educational technology. Collaborate with innovative Tech Directors in the region to stay current with the latest trends and innovations in technology. Access resources and support to help you succeed in your role.

Shannon Doak

Dr. Shannon H. Doak is an experienced educator and leader in international schools. With expertise in blended and eLearning, he’s dedicated to making PD more effective. He holds a doctorate and masters in Educational Technology, a degree in school technology coordination. Dr. Doak has been at the forefront of changing the digital and educational landscape of the schools he has worked for. He is an avid coffee drinker and a home barista. His current passions center on AI, all things coffee, and EdTech. Currently, he’s the Tech Director at Nanjing International School, where he’s implemented security training platforms, organizational structures, and security procedures to ensure network integrity.

Tim Evans

Tim is the Learning Technologies & Data Coordinator at the American International School of Guangzhou, China. Holding a Masters in Educational Technology, Tim brings a wealth of expertise to his role, blending theoretical knowledge with practical application. He is passionate about using technology in the classroom to enhance the whole teaching and learning experience. Originally from Wales, UK, Tim has led digital change in his home country and internationally in Spain, in Hong Kong, and most recently the UAE.
