Generative and collaborative Peer Learning Community for New to Middle Leadership

Will this be your first year leading a team? Are you concerned about managing more experienced team members or managing the expectations of senior leaders?
 
This community will provide the resources, guidance, and tools needed to address the numerous questions you will face in your new role. During our four 90-minute online sessions over the course of the school year we will explore timely and relevant topics, share best practices, collaborate with peers from similar contexts, and expand our professional network. You will leave each session feeling heard, inspired and energized to engage your team with a positive mindset!

Arnett Edwards

Dr. Arnett Edwards is the Founding Director of the School Leadership Academy (“SLA”) which is supported by CTF Education Group. Dr. Edwards has had substantial leadership roles (middle and senior) in several schools in Hong Kong for the past 25 years and significantly served from 2011 to 2023 as Principal of Li Po Chun United World College (“UWC”) of Hong Kong, part of the UWC worldwide network of 18 schools and colleges. Dr. Edwards obtained his EdD in Educational Leadership at the Education University of Hong Kong. He has deep expertise in system leadership and, specifically, leadership’s role in impacting student achievement.

Sandra Clark Guillotel

Originally from Canada, Sandra Clark Guillotel spent the early years of her career teaching French and English in Montreal and the Sub-Arctic. Since then, she has worked with teachers and students in K-12 schools in Swaziland (now Eswatini), USA, Mexico, Germany, Singapore and China. Over a 40-year career, she has served in various roles, including teacher, head of department, grade level leader, workshop leader, Board of Trustees member, and principal. Based in Beijing since 2018, Sandra is an MYP and DP English teacher and an Associate Dean in the Teaching and Learning Centre at Keystone Academy, where she coordinates and participates in mentor-mentee programmes. Sandra embraces the philosophy “we are all in this together”, and she enjoys supporting faculty and students, both formally and informally, on their paths to growth and success.
