Women in Education - Book Club

Generative and collaborative Peer Learning Community for Women in EducationΒ

Welcome, fellow educators! Women in Education Book Club is your chance to connect with inspiring stories and a supportive community. Here, we’ll read thought-provoking books that explore the triumphs and challenges faced by women in education, both on the page and in the real world.

Through lively discussions and shared experiences, we’ll:
– Build connections with a supportive network of women who understand the unique joys and challenges we face.
– Find inspiration in the stories of fictional and real-life educators, authors, and leaders who have paved the way.
– Reflect on our own journeys and how we can contribute to a more equitable and empowering educational landscape for all.
– Discover practical strategies and resources to support ourselves, our students, and each other in our ongoing pursuit of excellence.

Join us as we create a space for reflection, inspiration, and connection. Together, we can become stronger advocates and role models for the next generation of women in education.

Claire Peet

Claire is an international educator and certified coach who works for a large education group in China to develop learning pathways that serve the organisation’s 3000 employees. Claire has worked in education for 15 years where her passion for school improvement and transformation has enabled a transition from school-based senior leadership into organisation-wide roles.
She focuses on developing professional learning strategies, talent retention programmes and succession planning structures that support organisational and individual progression and capacity building.

Kristy Goodman

Kristy Goodman has been working in international education for more than 15 years across Asia. She started as an EAL specialist and has recently moved to DP Coordinator and university guidance adviser. Always an avid reader, she finds that book clubs are a means to dive deeper into a book and grow strong relationships. When not reading, she can be found underwater scuba diving, cooking in her kitchen or curled up with her cats. Favorite book format: Kindle app on my phone so that I always have a book with me and they don’t take up space in my luggage.
